Rutledge Cottage Kitchen
The Rutledge Cottage Kitchen was inspired by a trip to Paris, where the beauty of French marble left a lasting impression. The allure of this elegant material was so irresistible that we decided to embrace it fully in our kitchen design. The backsplash and countertop now boast the exquisite marble that we fell in love with in France. Its smooth texture and luxurious veins add a touch of opulence to our culinary haven, creating a captivating focal point that draws the eye and elevates the entire space. However, we were aware of the drawbacks of using marble as a countertop surface. It is porous and prone to etching, giving it a “living” quality as it wears over time. Despite these concerns, we couldn’t resist the stunning beauty of the marble and took the risk. The soft white stained cabinetry paired with the marble countertop created a perfect mix of traditional and fresh elements, giving the kitchen an overall captivating feel. Every time we step into this kitchen, we are reminded of the charm and sophistication of France, making the cooking and dining experiences all the more delightful.
To further enhance the beauty and functionality of the Rutledge Cottage Kitchen, we made a deliberate choice to set the windows in the back higher than normal. This decision was driven by our desire to flood the entire space with an abundance of natural light. Convenience is key, so we decided to focus on drawer storage for almost everything in our Rutledge Cottage kitchen. From dishes to pots and pans, we have it all neatly organized in drawers. This choice not only makes accessing our kitchen essentials a breeze, but it also adds a touch of modernity to the space.
With a dedicated coffee nook cabinet and plenty of space to store appliances, everything is neatly tucked away yet easily accessible. This attention to detail ensures that the kitchen not only looks beautiful but also functions seamlessly.
If you are looking for a kitchen that combines beauty with functionality, the Rutledge Cottage Kitchen is the perfect inspiration.
