When you walk through our featured home in the Remodelers’ Showcase, it’s easy to notice the big transformations; the layout, the light, the way each space flows effortlessly into the next. But what truly brings the home to life are the layers. The tones, the textures, and the intentional material selections that quietly shape how a space feels.
Today, we’re sharing a closer look at the paint and wallpaper selections throughout the home, and how each one plays a role in creating a cohesive, elevated design.
A Soft, Cohesive Foundation
Throughout the home, we leaned into a warm, understated palette to create a sense of calm continuity from room to room.
Paint Chart (Final Selections):
- Benjamin Moore Swiss Coffee 75% (Flat): Walls
- Benjamin Moore Swiss Coffee 75% (Satin): Trim & millwork
- Benjamin Moore Swiss Coffee 75% (Flat): All ceilings
By carrying this color throughout the home in varying sheens, we’re able to subtly define each surface while maintaining a seamless, elevated look. The result is a space that feels bright, soft, and effortlessly connected.
It’s a tone that works beautifully as a backdrop—allowing cabinetry, wallpaper, and architectural details to take center stage without overwhelming the space.
Wallpaper Selections
Each wallpaper in the home was selected to bring personality and contrast—without disrupting the overall flow.
- Dining Room: A soft statement with Thibaut Honshu in Robin’s Egg, introducing a hint of color and movement that elevates everyday dining.
- Pantry: Thibaut Sojourn Clair in Spa Blue adds an unexpected moment of calm, proof that even the most functional spaces deserve thoughtful design.
- Powder Room: A moodier, more dramatic tone with Wallquest Woodland Forest in Roasted Bean, creating a rich, intimate experience.
- Mudroom: Wallquest Banni in Airy Gray keeps things light and textured, balancing durability with design.
Each of these selections was chosen not just for how it looks, but for how it makes you feel when you step into the space.
Cabinetry That Grounds the Home
Cabinetry plays a major role in anchoring each room, and we were intentional about creating variation while maintaining harmony.
- Kitchen + Gathering Room Window Bench: A custom color match to Benjamin Moore Fossil, bringing warmth and a subtle depth to the heart of the home.
- Pantry Cabinetry: Benjamin Moore Beach Glass (1564) introduces a soft, airy tone that pairs beautifully with the surrounding finishes.
- Mudroom Cabinetry: Benjamin Moore October Mist (1495) adds an earthy, grounded feel—perfect for a high-traffic, everyday space.
To complement these painted finishes, we incorporated white oak with a Dark Walnut stain (Minwax 2716, 20% sheen), adding richness, texture, and a natural element that ties everything together.
Exterior Selections That Welcome You In
The exterior sets the tone before you even step inside, and we wanted it to feel timeless and inviting.
- Main Body: Sherwin-Williams Accessible Beige (SW 7036)
- Trim: Sherwin-Williams Alabaster (SW 7008)
Together, these create a soft, classic palette that feels both refined and approachable.
The front door adds just the right amount of contrast:
- Exterior: Benjamin Moore Mt. Rainier Gray
- Interior: Benjamin Moore Swiss Coffee (75%)
